 Coil driven crossbow

I think this could be stupidly dangerous fun with much less fuss than the
usual linear reluctance motor. Just get one or two big solenoids to pull a
bowstring tight on command. Might need a little tension to keep things
from slopping loose of the ready position, but say 99% coil powered.

Would wiring two coils in parallel cause the armatures to travel in sync?
I'm thinking whichever armature lags, has less inductance, and current
might rise faster on that side to help it catch up. Or not how it works?
